“‘ve been in morocco for one week in holidays, in mirleft, in the south of the country.
was a beautiful time with Nina, painting in outstanding conditions. you know that stencil is by nature associated by the repetition : patterns for architecture, industrial marking then pop culture have been largely exploring that way. I tried in Mirleft to explore specificity with a dedicated stencil of the fish market of the village, that I painted on place two years after I took my original picture, trying to make real contextual art with a stencil. Crazy that South Morocco is still so quite that you can make a copy of reality in between two years, checking that nothing has moved or almost, the mitsbishi truck being still there, parked at the same place . Still life.”... C215
