“Welcome to the Garden of Wonders” - Few people know that there was a zoo in the heart of Montréal until 30 years ago.. At the Jardin des Merveilles, in Parc Lafontaine, you could see hippopotamus, seals, horses, bears, lamas, foxes and even an elephant. It moved to Parc Angrignon in 1989..

People who lived around the plateau at the time told me they used to see peacocks running around the streets from time to time.. WOW!

Now its become a hangout place, all kinds of people gather.. or disperse..
