“i’ve been fascinated by the elements and general run down nature of industrial mills lately. partly because i grew up around them. amazing to think thank at one time these structures were new and bustling with activity. the earth and granite tones, overgrown green space, and rusted metal and piping make a great backdrop for crisp black and white wheat pastes. very urban aesthetic. these recent works deal with the loss of innocence in preteen girls, being a teacher and hearing some of the things that come out of their mouth i can only wonder what they are thinking???”...
