Event: Chris Silva in Milwaukee on January 20th

Greetings good people,
I'm about to start on a large installation in the front exhibition space of
Walker's Point Center for the Arts which will be a combination of found
materials construction, collage and painting. The installation will be an
exercise in my continuing conversation with materials and a slight expansion
of my visual vocabulary, with the intention of expressing my usual concerns
for the current state of human culture and our lack of regard for each
other, ourselves and the natural world. In the back room will be a showing
of video and photography documenting street art by myself and other artists
from the Chicago area. Sharing the space will also be a "You Are Beautiful"
piece done collaboratively by Milwaukee artists. While there will be a few
pieces of my work and prints available for sale, once the show comes down
the bulk of the installation will become reconfigured and put out on the
street in the form of various public installations.
If you're in the area and are interested, come on by, otherwise I'm sure
I'll have some shots up on my site within the next couple months.

I hope everyone's had a nice holiday season and is doing well.

Peace!

Chris...
