District 13 Gallery is proud to announce their first show of 2006, Big Brother, Little Brother, a
two-man exhibit featuring the work of W. Kim aka Revise and A. Lewellen aka Antck. This show
will highlight the work of two of Chicago's most innovative and influential graffiti/street artists of
the past two decades.

Anthony Lewellen aka Antck is a Chicago based artist and native. Since the early 1990's,
he has been an enigmatic figure on the local graffiti scene and considered to be one of the local
pioneers of the art form. He has made a name for himself nationally and internationally through
his work on the streets and is most recognized for his simple, bold palette and his visually
compelling street art characters. Anthony has always brought a unique approach to his work on
the streets and his studio work is no exception.

During the last decade, Anthony has experimented with various methods of image creation
utilizing markers, spray paint, enamels and acrylics. He prefers to use wood, steel, and other
found objects that echo the urban landscape as his surfaces of choice. Anthony continues to pull
from a personal visual vocabulary that has evolved over years of drawing and observation of
urban life. His work today is a compelling mix of various forms and techniques fused together
to create unique and visually compelling work.

W. Kim aka Revise CMW grew up riding the subways. He was exposed to the world of graffiti
at an early age through the colorful rooftops the redline had to offer. It was not until he entered
junior high that he decided to take on this very demanding art form.
Revise has always had an appreciation for the elements of style, color, form and composition in
graffiti. In high school he began creating his own recognizable wild style. At the time, Revise
was highly influenced by his peers in the Chicago graffiti community. However, he has come to
stand out due to his constant experimentation. His artistic approach has stretched far beyond
the graffiti standard of producing letters.

As a member of the famed Chicagos Most Wanted crew, Revise has been able to hone his
skills. With CMW, he has painted numerous walls and hit high profile street spots offering
inevitable, and often notorious, exposure. His experiences with the Chicago graffiti network, as
well as his unique vision, are all expressed in the body of work you see today. Revises pieces
seek to encompass the magnetic, artistic side of graffiti as well as the love of illegal street art he
will always possess.
