Shit That's Currently Inspiring Us... From Wooster Readers (Episode 3)

Form
Cherubic Meekus:
Chris Ware...the pulchritudinous imagery that he produces really draws emphasis to the virtuosity of the form. He's a genius and deserves as much recognition as Art Speilgman {sic}.
From The Cheesy Weasel:

From Drew:

From The Cheesy Weasel:
without a doubt, one of my latest greatest source of inspiration has been
wooster collective (like many other artists..). But an even greater source of
inspiration is the artistic ignorance of the people in the country i
live in (Malta). These people are so unadventurous and conventional
that they manage to inspire me to do stuff which goes against all of what they
believe in (crappy art, classic art, religious art
etc..http://www.carnegiemuseums.org/cmag/bk_issue/1998/novdec/feat6.htm").
Therefore my art is always is a form of statement or retaliation against Malta's
art scene. (other inspirational people are my favourite artist Mark Rothko and
Christopher
Wool.

From Drew:

From
Susan:
The financial district at night. It's time to paint some night scene of the guards watching TV in those big marble lobbies. In a world of chaos that image fills me with a sense of permanence and certainty...
From Nose in Phili:
Lately I've been inspired by the works of D-Face and Flying Fortress, and the whole concept of using characters.

From Mike:
Lately I am inspired with the idea of trying to reverse preconcieved notions that we have about certain styles and media in art. Most people now accept that a spraypaint tag on a dumpster can be fine art. I think that fewer artists accept the corollary, that a watercolor painting of flowers can have all the oomph and grit associated with street art. Above is watercolor landscape painting of Zion National Park.

From Murten in Belgium:
I'm mostly inspired by artists with major guts like Banksy and TLP. I also went to TLP's show in Belgium (Brussels) the other day. Well, anyway, I create most of my stuff because it makes me feel better and I love it how people can look at it and really show that they like it, but then dissaprove it because it's on someone else's property. (the governments property, I don't spray on peoples houses)

From AESK47:
Lately...my town is what inspires me the most...Montreal is waking up after a long and harsh winter...So on sundays i grab my Ipod and i walk down mont-royal street while listening to "where i'm from" from de Digable Planets and i feel really really happy...and then i arrive to the tam-tams and i hang out with my friends for the day!!! Above is a photo of the Tam-tams wich are held every sundays on the Mount Royal...
From rybo:

clothes. check it or wreck it but im loving the fine line of
NotGivingAFuck/MotivatedLikeAMotherFucker that this guys cutting

From roughe:
This little girl above... 'Liliana Rose'. She inspires me more than anything lately...
From LoseLose:
What inspires me this week is the unending pursuit of reaching the end of human understanding, perception and consciousness, discovering the beauty there, and bringing it back and displaying it for those that might not be able to see it on their own.
From SlowPoke:
