Cope 2 Graf on Wooster Street Explained

We had known about this project for weeks, but like the Washington Post knowing the true identity of Deep Throat, we were sworn to secrecy. But today Adrants has revealed that the bombed out billboard put up today on Wooster Street and Houston was done by the legendary graf artist Cope 2. In four weeks time the artwork will reveal itself to be an advertisement for Time Magazine. Bucky Turco reveals to Adrants here that the campaign was designed by the ad agency Fallon and was paid for by Time. Adrants writes:
Fallon arranged the deal which calls for COPE2 to bomb the billboard with tags over a four week period culminating with the application of the Time logo and promotional copy.
This campaign, for us, opens up so many issues and begs so many questions. Waiting to see how this plays out...
