Tsunami Donations Update - New: Pages from Mysterious Al's Sketchbooks
A quick update on the Tsunami donations that people have been making on the Wooster website:First, in the last few days since we've but up the donations button, as a group the Wooster community has raised close to $1,500.00 USD for Tsunami relief. That's an awsome amount, as we had no idea what to expect. Some donations are as small as $5.00, so a great amount of you have been making donation. Thank you so much!
A quick note on where the money will go - When we put up the donation button last week we stated that we'd be donating the money on your behalf to Doctors Without Borders / Medecins Sans Frontiere. But in the last 24 hours, Medecins Sans Frontiere has said that they have reached their maximum amount of donations for Asia (not a bad problem to have!) and that they are no longer taking donations for the Tsunami relief. Because of this, we have decided to donate the Wooster group collections to Oxfam. We hope you all agree with this as Oxfam is a terrific organization and very worthy of our support. And finally, here's a new, incredibly cool, incentive to donate....
We're extremely pleased to let you know that Mysterious Al, a true street art "geezer" (as Chaz and Galo would say), has joined us in helping to raise money by making the following donation.
Here's it straight from Al himself --
"Seeing as to how out of hand this tsunami shit is getting, I can no longer commit to just throwing coins into buckets on Oxford Street.
I'd like to help as much as I can - and, having very limited money or rescourses, I would like to donate pages from my personal sketchbooks to the tsunami relief funds.
I will tear out a sketchbook page for the first 100 people to donate $20 USD (?10) or more to the Wooster fund. I will arrange for all posting (regular, non-recorded, cheapest post) to anywhere in the world.
Some of my sketchbook pages feature some of the best artists in the world - including Flying Fortress, Pete Fowler, The London Police, Freaklub, D*face, PMH, Dave The Chimp (and unfortunately, myself) amongst many others.
Please note that sketchbook pages will be torn out by one of my mates at random, and pages vary in quality (ahem). They are just sketches, after all...

So as you will notice we've just added a new donation button on the left hand nav bar. If you would like to donate and receive a page from Al's cherished sketchbooks, donate now. The donation is separate from the adFunture Rubble, so if you want both, you will need to donate twice. (Don't forget to include your address)
