The Urban Guerilla Projekt - An Explanation
"Greetings from Vancouver BC Canada! We(The Urban Guerillas) are a collaboration of artists and skateboarders working together to counter-act anti- skateboarding activity (skate spots being shut down, destroyed, or made unusable by the installation of anti-skate devices) and anti street art activity. For over a year now, we have been promoting street skating by reclaiming old skate spots, creating new ones, and using 'street' space to express ourselves, and communicate our purpose and presence... All in the name of keeping skateboarding in it's natural environment, The Streets. Through the use of posters, stencils, stickers and apparel, we aim to rally skateboarders and artists alike to "Reclaim The Streets!" With countless hundreds of hours 'expressing' ourselves through our chosen medium, and loving it more and more each day, we thought we might contribute to the great 'Collective' of other street artists from around the globe who have inspired us. Anyways, keep up the awesome effort! We are also currently working on our website, and we will let you know about it when it is up.
