Influenza's "Fly In Urinal"
Since we started the Wooster site, one of the most interesting artists we've come across is Influenza in Holland. Recently Influenza sent us a note which included some information about a project he did called "Fly in Urinal"From Influenza:
"here's a (recent) picture of my later piss on sophisticated design innovations. its a bit of a men-thing, but in holland (and from there to other nations) the success of 'fly in urinal' proved itself and is seen more and more at the gentleman's department of public rest rooms. the fly is meant to aim on. it is part of the urinal-design and backed in the ceramics. since its placement some years ago in bar- and cinema toilets, they discovered they didn't have to clean the toilets anymore that much. somehow through this little fly in the ceramics, men have a new toy to aim on while taking a piss on the world. the little flies around are my own free contribution you could say, offered as a kind of second option.
