“Rebel Without A Cause” Artists: CUM (Belgium)

COLLECTOR’S NOTES: CUM’s ‘remix’ of the classic James Dean poster from “Rebel Without A Cause” was one of two works that the Belgium based artist collective created for the Hollywood: The Remix group show that was held in New York this past June. This was one of our favorite works from the show. As a sex symbol of the 60’s, it’s fitting that Dean is now surrounded by CUM’s classic pin-up girls. The added image on the t-shirt looks as if James Dean was wearing it for the shoot. The light layer of white wisps of “fog” that CUM has added allows the original piece to bleed through creating a nice blending of the old and the new.
THE DETAILS: The artwork measures 27” wide by 39” long. The artwork is mounted on museum board and is in excellent condition. The work will ship from New York City.
