"Gime 'Em Props" - Picasso

"Gime 'Em Props" - Picasso by Flowerguy
"On May 10th, my wife and I saw the Matisse/Picasso show at MOMA QNS. Since then, I can't stop thinking about Picasso's, "Mandolin and Guitar" from 1924. This is a considerably large painting measuring about 55 by 79 inches (the small copy above doesn't do it justice). I immediately grinned from ear to ear when I turned to face it. The patchwork quilt of textures, patterns and colors is stunning. Open doors behind the table reveal a sunny Mediterranean sky. This painting makes me want to go to the European coast and paint! I'm sure the optimism this painting gave me won't leave anytime soon."
